Silindile Zwide is an integral part of the triple-P team who first met up with us when working with a team of women from Ezimbokodweni and eFolweni who were cleaning rivers and removing alien plant species.
“We were struggling with resources and support but then triple-P and funders AECI came on board ensuring the project could continue and empowering us with essential skills and stipends to sustain ourselves,” explained Silindile.
Long-Term Growth
The relationship with triple-P has been more than just about skills development, it has been a platform for personal and professional growth for women in general. “The skills I have learned and certificates earned have opened doors for me, ensuring I can grow professionally and build a future for myself,” said Silindile.
Current Focus
Silindile is a proud part of triple-P working predominately on plumbing projects. These projects are more than just about fixing leaks, installing toilets, and handling different aspects of plumbing for water initiatives, they are a direct and effective way to meaningfully contribute to the community.
As women, we once faced greater challenges for inclusion, but today, opportunities are more equal, and we can make the most of them by working together, supporting each other, and respecting one another,” concludes Silindile.
