Poor sanitation and hygiene in schools can lead to serious consequences, including the spread of diseases, absenteeism, poor academic performance, and low self-esteem among students.
These issues affect children’s overall health, well-being, and education, ultimately impacting their future prospects. However, access to proper water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) infrastructure in schools can transform lives and is a continual focus of the work we do.
As part of our ongoing efforts to effect positive change in local communities, triple-P recently installed WASH infrastructure at Zimisele Primary School in Umlazi. This initiative has created a healthier and more supportive environment for both students and staff.
Interviews conducted with the school’s principal and students revealed that the project has revitalized the school, restoring life and dignity.
The Triple-P team is thrilled with the positive outcomes and the significant impact this project has had. We extend our gratitude to all stakeholders for their support and collaboration and we look forward to implementing similar projects in other schools very soon.” Ntswaki Dithlale – triple-P director.
