World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5th, marks a global dedication to raising environmental awareness and promoting actions to protect our planet.
The theme for 2024 focused on land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience and triple-p has been actively contributing to this effort since 2023. In partnership with cooperating companies committed to enhancing their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESGs) practices triple-p has been actively planting trees in Mpumalanga, a region severely affected by air pollution and environmental degradation.
To date, our key achievements include:
- 249 indigenous trees of 11 different species planted in 11 different schools in Ogies, Emalahleni and Middleburg in the Mpumalanga province.
- Empowering local communities to take ownership of environmental conservation.
- Educating future generations about environmental stewardships
Our long-term goal is to mitigate climate change, improve air quality, support biodiversity and educate local communities about environmental protection, and we are immensely proud of what we have achieved so far,” Ntswaki Ditlhale – Founder, Advocate & Managing Director of triple-P.
triple-P will continue working with like-minded companies and organizations to plant trees, engage communities, and promote environmental education.
