Training & Development Skills with triple-P
Our training and skills development aims to build sustainable communities in a healthy environment. We achieve this by providing communities with knowledge and green skills to enhance their natural environment, create awareness in their communities and support their livelihoods through the establishment of green enterprises.
We offer a range of holistic training courses:
Participants will learn the basic skills in citizen science aquatic monitoring; the role of science in protecting the aquatic environments; application of scientific tools to acquire scientific data that is used to address issues in their local river systems.
Duration - 2 days
This training will give the participant a basic understanding of how aquatic ecosystems function, the role these systems play within their environment and how to protect them.
Duration - 3 days
This course will take the learner from zero to a level of understanding of what a catchment is, how the system functions and the ability to identify human activities that negatively impact the catchment. Using citizen science, learners will be able to identify pollution sources and the correct course of action to address the challenges.
NB. The training is also suitable to municipal workers who work with communities in river care work.
