The 3 Ps - Partnerships for People & the Planet
triple-P is a people and planet focused Non-Profit Enterprise with a Public Benefit Organisation status. We create partnerships with people to unlock green skills opportunities and recognise the value of their knowledge and capabilities as an asset in creating sustainable livelihoods and a healthy planet.
At triple-P we work with the often-under-serviced communities living in peri-urban, rural, and urban areas across South Africa. triple-P prides itself on collaboration with public and private entities and skills sharing with communities. We believe real change can be achieved through working as a collective with partners committed to creating a healthier planet for all its inhabitants. Highlighting the links between people and planet is one of our core aims, the survival of the planet is dependent on all living beings having a symbiotic relationship. This is a point we seek to introduce and amplify to our partners and participants by instilling these values and building an eco-conscious society.
Partners for People and Planet succinctly represents our core values, vision and aspirations. For each P to flourish there has to be a healthy relationship between all the three Ps.
For this reason, we work to create a holistic method towards addressing any issues related to the environment. People are central to the work we do; therefore, their development is our priority. We have highly specialised skills development and training programmes that have produced some of the most knowledgeable community practitioners in our field. We focus on real, measurable growth in everything we do. We understand the value of working collaboratively with communities to find context-based solutions to address challenges. Our aim is to equip people with the necessary skills and capacity to be independent contributors and leaders.
Through our programmes, triple-P addresses social, ecological and economic challenges. The glaring socio-economic disparity that exists in our country motivates us to work with under-serviced communities. The lower-income areas are the primary casualties of ill-managed natural environments, such conditions bring about a litany of unwanted health and safety issues. At triple-P, we place significant value in keeping communities informed and involved in the work we do. We impart knowledge of ecological processes and the skills required to enable communities to understand the importance of maintaining a healthy planet.
We aim to Protect the Planet and promote Good Health by keeping natural environments clean, healthy and accessible to all its inhabitants. The Quality Education opens doors for members of the community to access more meaningful livelihoods and creates Sustainable Communities and Cities.
The work we do has been directly linked to the Sustainable Development Goals
